Fieseler Fi 156C-3, WNr. 1685, "A-100"

History
The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was developed in the mid-1930s by the German manufacturer Gerhard-Fieseler-Werke in Kassel. Designed as a short takeoff and landing (STOL) liaison aircraft, it was widely used during World War II for reconnaissance, courier, and medical evacuation missions. Over 2,900 units were produced between 1936 and 1949, with various versions serving in multiple countries.
The Swiss Air Force acquired several Fi 156C-3 models post-war, including WNr. 1685 ex RN + VJ, which was delivered in 1944.The aircraft was registered as A-100 and served in various capacities within the Swiss military aviation framework.
