Messerschmitt Bf 108B-1, WNr. 2083, "A-209"

History

The Messerschmitt Bf 108B-1 with registration A-209 and construction number 2083 is a significant aircraft on display at the Flieger Flab Museum in Dübendorf, Switzerland. This museum, situated at the Dübendorf Air Base near Zurich, is dedicated to the history of Swiss military aviation and air defense. 

The Bf 108 was originally developed in the late 1930s as a civilian touring aircraft. Its design was later adapted for military purposes, including reconnaissance and liaison roles during World War II. The Swiss Air Force acquired several Bf 108s, including the A-209, which served from 1939 until 1959. 

Today, the A-209 is preserved at the Flieger Flab Museum, where it is displayed in Hangar 14
